The Thagzo pattern is a contemporary reinterpretation of the traditional 'pigeon's eye' motif, a staple in Bhutanese weaving culture. The art of Thagzo - Bhutanese weaving - remains a vital expression of the nation's cultural fabric. Woven on the ends of the throw is a pattern featuring the 'endless knot,' one of the eight auspicious symbols in Buddhism, alongside the 'eye' motif, a design with Middle Eastern origins.
